Política de privacidad de la aplicación de Android

doUmind relies on a server to allow you to use its image recognition and mind map building functionalities. The server will not receive any personal information, the only information received is data related to the project you are working on. Moreover, this data is completely anonymous, encrypted and relatively ephemeral.

For transparency reasons and in order to respect the privacy of our users, we are committed to use this information exclusively for the application's functioning. None of this data is used for commercial purposes.

In accordance with the modified law "informatique et libertés" of 6 January 1978, you have the right to access and rectify any information relating to you. However, since no personal information is required, requested or stored; and since all other information is anonymous and untraceable, no system for obtaining your information is in place.

Technical Considerations :

In the Android ecosystem, information may be collected through "Permissions", which are displayed when downloading or installing the application on the Google Play Store. On recent versions of Android (version 6.0) these permissions can be enabled on demand and disabled at any time in the device settings. For earlier versions, users must accept the application's permissions without reservation in order to install and use the application.

List of application permissions: Below is a complete list of permissions required when using the "doUmind" application for Android:

  • android.permission.INTERNET

  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

  • android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

  • android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

  • android.permission.CAMERA

android.permission.INTERNET: Allows the application to open a network connection. Allows the application to send project data to the doUmind server and receive responses.

android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows the application to access network status (connected / disconnected).

android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows the application to store data on the external storage space of the device. I.e. the application defaults to a reserved storage space that is inaccessible by the user or other applications, these permissions give read and write access outside of this private and restricted space internal to the application. doUmind works without these permissions, however if you want to import an image from your gallery or export a finalized mind map to your folders, this permission becomes necessary and will be requested.

android.permission.CAMERA: Allows the application to take a picture without leaving the application. This photo will be compressed, encrypted and then sent to the doUmind server for the automatic mind map recognition service.
